Do you have a shared Manifold System?

In our irrigation system, some groups of homes are served by a shared manifold, a connection point that branches off the mainline coming from the canal.

Here’s how it works:

The mainline carries water from the canal under pressure.

A manifold is installed at a central location to split the mainline into smaller laterals that serve nearby homes.

Each home connected to the manifold has its own turnout or valve on this shared line.

This setup allows multiple properties to receive irrigation water from a single tap into the mainline.

Why is this used?

Manifold systems are especially useful when individual homes are too far from the mainline to be connected directly. Instead of multiple taps into the mainline—which can reduce efficiency and increase maintenance—a single manifold serves as a smart, consolidated access point
